Our Specialisms
Most of our work comes through personal recommendation. That is because we keep our scope tight and the standard high — we are builders and joiners first, with our own qualified tradespeople on every job.
Our Craft
Most builders sub the joinery out. We do not. Robert and Mark are qualified joiners themselves, and that shows up everywhere — in made-to-measure wardrobes that fit the wall to the millimetre, in kitchen cabinetry built to outlast the appliances, in skirtings and architraves that sit flush a decade later.
A Family Firm
RG Building Services was founded by Robert Gay in 1981 and ran as a sole trader until 2005, when we became a limited company. Today, Robert and his son Mark lead a small team of trusted tradespeople from our base in Morley, Leeds.
The vast majority of our work still comes through personal recommendation. We have never needed to advertise heavily, because most weeks we are quoting on jobs introduced by past clients or their friends and neighbours. That is a position we have worked 44 years to earn, and we are not about to take any shortcuts that would put it at risk.
